Stories for children are Caitlin’s passion, and she has been writing stories since her childhood and never stopped. She is a graduate of Lehigh University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Creative Writing and Simmons University with an M.F.A. in Writing for Children and Young Adults. Her retelling of a Native American folktale, How Coyote Brought Fire to the People, was published by Pioneer Valley Books in 2017, and her biography of Nelson Mandela (Nelson Mandela) was also published by Pioneer Valley Books in 2019. Caitlin's short stories "Sushi and Turtle Brownies" (May/June 2014), "Tigers in Tutus" (November/December 2016), and “The Witch’s Gift” (Winter 2019) have been featured in the Bethlehem Writers Roundtable. "Tigers in Tutus" and “The Witch’s Gift” also received an Honorable Mention in the 2016 and 2018 Bethlehem Writers Roundtable Short Story Award. She also has previous experience in editing, journalism, and social media marketing. Caitlin has extensive knowledge of fairy tales, having studied them throughout college and having written a few of her own. She is also very interested in Disney, especially the films and the amusement parks. Caitlin currently resides and works in Sunderland, MA.
